Hollard Savings Plan

The Hollard Savings Plan offers a simple, cost-effective way to invest in one or more Hollard Prime Unit Trust Funds via a single investment account.

Choose which is easiest for you:

• An initial one-off investment
• A recurring monthly debit order investment
• An additional one-off investment

Either a lump sum of R5 000 or a minimum recurring monthly debit order amount of R500.

The investment is subject to the following taxes:

Capital Gains tax: realised on the sale of an investment portfolio if the sale results in a capital gain, i.e.: if the asset is worth more when sold than it was when it was purchased.

Interest Income tax: incurred on any portfolio invested in underlying assets that earn interest and realised in the tax year in which it is earned.

Dividends Tax: incurred on the receipt of a distribution that contains a local dividend component, and withheld by the administrator who pays the tax to SARS on behalf of investors

You can select from the range of Hollard Prime Unit Trust Funds. You may select any one or a combination of them. You may also switch between funds at any time.

You may cede some or all of your investment as collateral/security.

No, due to the nature of the product, you may not cancel your investment and no cooling-off period applies. You may request a full withdrawal or may transfer your investment to another authorised provider.

No, the product does not provide a guarantee on the investment value of your investment account, nor does it guarantee the performance of the investment. The market value of the investment may fluctuate at any time. The investor carries the investment and market risk, which may include the possibility of losing capital.

Yes, additional contributions can be added to the investment at any time. You may also invest via a recurring monthly debit order that you can start, stop, or amend at any time.

Yes, you may make as many withdrawals as you’d like and as often as you like.

Your investment forms part of your estate and will be governed by your last will and testament. Any beneficiaries who receive a portion of the investment, according to the instructions of the executor of the estate, may receive their portion as a cash pay-out or a transfer to an investment account in their name at Hollard or another product provider.
