Off-Road Insurance Bundle

Overview

You love getting out of the rat race, away from the crowds and the city smoke, with just you and the open road for company. But just because you love adventure, it doesn’t mean you don’t want to protect yourself against the risks you may face on the road. Accidents, breakdowns, theft…all of these can turn your dream off-road trip into a nightmare.
As part of our off-road 4x4 insurance, you can insure your any off road vehicles you may own, including your motorbike, against theft, damage and repair costs. We define an off-road vehicle as one that is used for four wheel driving, trail driving, sand dune driving or any other driving away from a public, prepared or graded private road.

We’ll cover your car or motorbike used for off-road purposes and on 4x4 courses for theft, loss or damage as described in your comprehensive car insurance cover. In addition, we’ll also cover you for:
  • Theft of luggage: We’ll pay for the theft of your luggage from a roof-rack, canopy, trailer or carrier.
  • Theft of spare wheel and other accessories: We’ll pay for items stolen off your car, for example your spare wheel, a roof top tent, side awning or bicycles, canoes or fishing rod carrier racks. If your motorbike is covered, we’ll cover you for accessories such as motorcycle luggage carriers and spotlights.

  • Cross-border breakdown: If your car or motorbike breaks down in a cross-border country, we will pay you back any additional costs because the incident happened outside of South Africa. For example, you may have to fly spares in from South Africa that aren’t available in the country you’re in.
  • Cross-border emergency accommodation: If your car or motorbike is stolen or damaged and you have an overnight delay in a cross-border country, we’ll arrange accommodation for you and any passengers.
