Step 1 - Speak to us

Tell us of the event that you want to claim for as soon as possible (but within 30 days from the insured event).

Step 2 - Get the forms and documents

Step 3 - Report the event to the Police within 24 hours

You must report theft or burglary to the police within 24 hours. The police will give you a reference number (case number) which we will need to handle your claim.

Step 4 - Send us the information we ask for

You must send us all the information we ask for as soon as possible. Below is a list of the typical information we need, but we may ask for more depending on the details of your claim.

  • A description of the damage you are claiming for
  • Photographs taken from the scene (if any were taken)
  • Proof of forcible entry or exit to your home (where necessary)
  • The police reference number (case number)

Step 5 - We will contact you
