June 16 marks a pivotal moment in South Africa’s history, a day that reminds us of the courage, resilience and bold spirit of our youth. At Hollard, we commemorated this legacy with a vibrant, Sarafina-inspired celebration that brought Hollardites together through movement, music and meaningful reflection.
The energy was electric as Hollardites across the country embraced the theme: Freedom to move, freedom to excel. Colleagues in Joburg showed up in playful, school uniform-inspired outfits, ties, socks, skirts and grey pants, bringing their best Sarafina-style moves. Regional offices joined in the fun by hosting their own versions.
But the celebration didn’t stop there. Hollardites were invited to submit short videos of themselves or their teams dancing to their favourite Sarafina beats or sharing personal reflections on how freedom empowers them to excel at Hollard.
This celebration wasn’t just about dancing, it was about honouring the past, celebrating the present and stepping boldly into a future where freedom fuels excellence.
