We are committed to President Ramaphosa's call for social distancing and are adhering to the principles of the current lockdown in South Africa to support slowing down the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). During this time we will be operating slightly differently than usual and we might have slower than usual reaction time.

Is Hollard open during the lockdown?

Yes, we are open to serve you, however, you will not be able to use any of our branches during this time. Hollard has been identified as an essential service and our staff across the country has been set up to work from home to ensure that we can support you.

How do I pay my premiums if I usually make a cash payment at a branch?

You will not be able to pay your policy premium in cash at our branches during the lockdown. Our branches have been closed to support the call for social distancing by President Ramaphosa.

How do I pay my premiums if I usually make payment at a retail store?

You will not be able to pay your policy premium at a retail store during the lockdown. We do, however, have many other ways that you can make payments, please click here to send us an enquiry.

What happens if I get infected by COVID-19, will my policy cover me?

Can you still assist me during an emergency at home?

Our home and car emergency services continue to operate and if you find yourself with an emergency, please check your policy wording for the correct emergency contact details.

What do I do if I have a death in the family during the lockdown?

Please check your policy wording for the correct claims process and details. The following people may attend the funeral:

a spouse or partner;
a child of the deceased, whether biological, adopted or stepchild;
a child-in-law of the deceased;
a parent, whether biological, adopted or stepparent;
a sibling, whether biological, adopted or stepbrother or sister;
a grandparent;
or a person closely affiliated to the deceased (a person with parental responsibilities and rights in respect of the deceased or "a person who had developed a significant relationship based on caregiving, psychological or emotional attachment to the deceased").
