This notice is hereby given in terms of section 50 of the Insurance Act, 2017 (the Act) that it is the intention of HOLLARD LIFE ASSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED, registration number 1993/001405/06 to transfer the books of funeral business distributed by LifeWise and Scorpion to FAMILY INSURANCE (PTY) LTD (registration number 1998/012373/07) trading as LIFEWISE (hereinafter referred to as the Proposed Transfer) on 1 January 2024.
This means, from the agreed date of transfer, that Family Insurance will be responsible for the fulfilment of all the obligations of the terms of the Policies.
Policyholders of both LifeWise and Scorpion Funerals note that as from 1 January 2024, as approved by the Prudential Authority, all insurer-related claims and queries relating to your current LifeWise, or Scorpion funeral policy will be assessed by Family Insurance. Please submit any complaints or queries in terms of the process stipulated in your current policy wording. Please refer to your policy wording for more information.
