Learnerships

Our Learnership Programme plays a key role in opening the door to recent school leavers by offering proactive candidates workplace experience in a vibrant and highly stimulating insurance environment!

What is a learnership?

A learnership is a work based approach to learning and gaining qualifications and includes both structured work experience (practical) and structural institutional learning (theory).

Hollard Learnership comprises of 3 main areas:

  • Fundamentals (maths, communication, PC skills and financials),
  • Core (insurance and insurance process)
  • Electives (also insurance related but allows the individual to specialise).

Each learner has a mentor who will support this practical portion of the learning, enabling them to complete this qualification in the allocated 12 months.

Although Hollard is under no obligation to employ any of the learners who have completed the Learnership Programme, we’re happy to report that more than 69 successful learners have been offered permanent employment within our company.

Who can apply?
