Pay As You Drive - How to claim

Claims requirements and process

  1. Please notify us within 24-hours after the event of your intention to claim by calling us on 0861 010 203. If this is not possible, please call us within 30 days of the event.

  2. It is also important that you notify the police. They will log the incident and give you a police reference number which we need to process your claim.

  3. You need to submit all the requested claims documents and supporting documents to us. To help you, a dedicated Hollard claims specialist can guide you through the process.

  4. They’ll tell you which documents we need, which will typically include;
    • A copy of your South African issued ID document
    • A description of the incident
    • The police reference number
    • A copy of your drivers license (if the claim is related to your vehicle)

  5. The Hollard claim specialist will also tell you of any excess premium to pay when you make a claim.

  6. Lastly, we’ll contact you to notify you of the outcome of your claim.
