Motor Body Repairs (MBR)
Hollard require, nationwide, technically accredited, qualified and professional MBR's to provide a service to Hollard and their stakeholders from time to time.
Hollard's stakeholders include our own direct business and that of all our brokers and/or partners.
A formal, nationwide MBR application process was held from 1-31 October 2010. The application process is now closed. See Application Terms and Conditions.
Hollard fully supports the DTI's Codes of Good Practice (BBBEE). One of Hollard's key procurement deliverables is to ensure that we are compliant. Our BEE target is 30-40% for Black Owned & Black Women Owned MBR's with valid SANAS accredited BBBEE certification.
It is very important to protect both Hollard and our client's risk. The MBRs are required to have recognised and official technical accreditation with valid certification in place. This ensures that the MBR has been assessed for commercial viability and are technically qualified with the necessary warrantees and guarantees in place.
Refer to Technical Criteria, Minimum Entry Level Criteria and Selection Criteria for details.
Hollard recognises the RMI, Sambra and Manufacturer’s accreditation and certification. We are aware the SABS is currently in discussions with the motor industry with regards to a SABS technical approval programme. This has not yet been launched.
Those who do not have formal technical accreditation can complete the Form: MBR Technical Checklist in our download centre and include it with the mandatory documents. If a MBR is considered, a site visit will be scheduled.
