Hollard?s Legal Plan hosts a number of exclusive features and benefits that are available to you for a small monthly premium.
Starting from as little as R120 per month, Legal Plan covers you for:
Criminal matters
This includes murder, culpable homicide, rape, robbery, assault, blackmail, theft, housebreaking, fraud, breaking and entering as well as attempting to commit any of the foregoing.
Civil matters
This includes motor vehicle accidents, insurance claims, money lent privately (not for business), road accident fund claims, neighbour disputes and contractual disputes with builders, plumbers etc.
Labour matters
This includes disciplinary hearings, unfair dismissals, labour court and Commission for Conciliation, and Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) representation.

Telephonic and electronic legal advice
You get legal advice and assistance from professional, fully qualified, experienced and admitted attorneys, over the telephone.
Access to standard legal documentation and contracts
Get round-the-clock access to standard legal documents and contracts.
Retrenchment benefit
Should you find yourself retrenched after 12 months of taking legal plan cover, you'll be given a six month grace period, without any impact on your cover.
Will drafting
We will assist you in drafting a basic will, for free.
Consultation, assistance and representation
Benefit from competent consultation, assistance and representation in your legal plan by a practicing attorney on our panel, or an attorney of your choice, in accordance with our schedule of tariff.
Extended Legal Cover
You'll have access to a range of extended legal insurance that covers:
- Anti-nuptial contracts
- Uncontested divorce
- 60% discount on debt counselling initiation fee (R3,000 savings and cover is immediate)
- 60% discount on attorney fees for property tariffs (you can save up to R4,000 on a R1 million property and cover is immediate)
- Rates watch property valuation screening

How to claim on Legal Insurance
Follow the easy steps below to get your claim fast and efficiently.
Making a claim is straight forward. If you’ve paid your monthly premium for 3 consecutive months, you'll be well passed the waiting period and eligible to make a claim. If you have not passed your waiting period, you can call for advice, however, you cannot make a claim.
