Insurance for Women - How to Claim

At Hollard we've made it straightforward and as easy-as-possible to make a claim.

Times like these can be very stressful so, we've taken out the hassle as much as possible, to make it as worry-free as possible.

A few pieces of paperwork you'll need to make your claim smooth as possible

For a Life Cover claim
  • A Death Claim Form, completed by the beneficiary, policy owner or executor.
  • A Certificate of Medical Attendant, completed by a regular doctor or physician.
  • A copy of the Identity Document of the insured and the beneficiary.
  • A copy of the Death Certificate.
  • The original policy document.
  • A letter of Executorship, if this is applicable.
  • A letter confirming the solvency of the estate if the benefit exceeds R50,000.
  • An Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Authorisation.
  • And finally, a Certificate showing the outstanding loan balance, if this is applicable.

In the case of unnatural death there are additional pieces of paperwork you'll need:
  • A Police Report.
  • A valid driver's license where applicable.
  • A Road Traffic Accident Report, if the cause was due to a motor accident.
  • And a full Post Mortem Report.

  • Heart Attack (ECG tracings, raised enzyme test results)
  • Stroke (all specialist reports)
  • Cancer (Histology reports)
  • Renal Failure (All specialist reports; All pathology reports)
  • Paraplegia (All specialist reports)
  • Blindness All specialist reports & investigations)
  • Coronary Artery Disease Requiring Surgery (All specialist reports)
  • Surgery for a disease of the aorta (The full operation report)
  • Replacement of a heart valve (The full operation report)
  • An Organ Transplant (The full operation report; All specialist reports)
  • Terminal Illness (All specialist reports)
  • Multiple Sclerosis (All specialist reports)
