Times like these can be very stressful so, we've taken out the hassle as much as possible, to make it as worry-free as possible.

A few pieces of paperwork you'll need to make your claim smooth as possible
For a Life Cover claim
- A Death Claim Form, completed by the beneficiary, policy owner or executor.
- A Certificate of Medical Attendant, completed by a regular doctor or physician.
- A copy of the Identity Document of the insured and the beneficiary.
- A copy of the Death Certificate.
- The original policy document.
- A letter of Executorship, if this is applicable.
- A letter confirming the solvency of the estate if the benefit exceeds R50,000.
- An Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Authorisation.
- And finally, a Certificate showing the outstanding loan balance, if this is applicable.
In the case of unnatural death there are additional pieces of paperwork you'll need:
- A Police Report.
- A valid driver's license where applicable.
- A Road Traffic Accident Report, if the cause was due to a motor accident.
- And a full Post Mortem Report.

- Heart Attack (ECG tracings, raised enzyme test results)
- Stroke (all specialist reports)
- Cancer (Histology reports)
- Renal Failure (All specialist reports; All pathology reports)
- Paraplegia (All specialist reports)
- Blindness All specialist reports & investigations)
- Coronary Artery Disease Requiring Surgery (All specialist reports)
- Surgery for a disease of the aorta (The full operation report)
- Replacement of a heart valve (The full operation report)
- An Organ Transplant (The full operation report; All specialist reports)
- Terminal Illness (All specialist reports)
- Multiple Sclerosis (All specialist reports)
