• You can choose funeral cover from as little as R10,000 up to R50,000
• There’s an immediate accidental death benefit which covers you straight away, upon receipt of your first premium
• To ensure your cover keeps up with the rising costs of funeral expenses, we increase your cover and premium annually. Your cover will increase by 6% and your premium by 10% annually
• You’ll have no problem being accepted – we guarantee acceptance to South African citizens or legal permanent residents between 18 and 75 years old.
• You won’t need a medical examination
• We pay out all valid funeral claims within 48 hours of receiving all the required claim documentation

Funeral Insurance to protect your entire family

• Partner – cover your partner for up to R50,000
• Children (under the age of 21) – the Family Funeral Benefit provides cover for as many as 5 children for up to R20,000. Cover can be extended for an additional 5 children, but there will be a separate premium for each additional child
• Parents and partner's parents (under the age of 75) – for a small extra premium, you can also take out funeral insurance for your parents and partner's parents for up to R20,000 in funeral cover

Additional benefits

Monthly Provider

This helps your family take care of their monthly expenses. It provides an amount of up to R24,000, which is split into 12 monthly installments, where up to R2,000 is payable each month, upon the death of the insured. It can be used to pay for groceries or any other essential expenses. Benefit increases annually by 6% and premium by 10%.

Memorial Benefit

This assists your family with unveiling ceremony expenses. It pays out up to R10,000 a year after your or your partner’s death. Benefit increases annually by 6% and premium by 10%

The total of the funeral, monthly provider and memorial benefits cannot exceed R50,000 each for the main insured and the insured partner.

Life Cover Benefit

You can add life cover for you and your partner at a small extra premium.

• Pays out a lump sum of up to R150,000 upon death of you or your insured partner
• Benefit increases annually by 6% and premium by 10%
• Minimum entry age is 18 and maximum entry age is 65

Vehicle Access Benefit

This service, provided by Mocking Bull Pty (Ltd), a Hollard partner, offers a rental car through Avis. What’s included?

• The use of a car for up to 6 days
• Unlimited mileage
• First full tank of petrol free
• No deposit needed to receive the car
• Any family member with a valid driver’s license can be designated as the driver
